First published paper by DE-PASS, Best Evidence Statement (BESt): modifiable determinants of physical activity and sedentary behaviour in children and adolescents aged 5–19 years–a protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis.

This paper describes the protocol for producing this BESt through a series of systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses . The BESt will identify modifiable determinants that are (in)effective in promoting physical activity behaviours in children and adolescents (aged 5-19). The proposed work delves into existing randomised controlled trials, controlled trials and longitudinal studies. Both self-/proxy-report and device-based measurements of physical activity/sedentary behaviour are included in the investigation. The work also extends to youth with disability. This protocol serves as a template for similar works on the adult and older adult foci within D2.5.

Congratulations to all the authors, Work Group 2 and the Deliverable 2.5 team for all their hard work.
