Overall Management, Capacity Building, Dissemination and Exploitation

Objective

To create and operationalise management, communication, Action capacity, dissemination and exploitation and long term sustainability plans and to ensure the timely and high quality achievement of the Action aim, objectives and tasks. WG 1 is focused on management, it integrates the DE-PASS Management Committee and the Core Group Board. The WG1 Leader will have specific focus on European and international networking and alliances and preparing concise growth, harmonisation and sustainability plans.

WG1 Overall Management, Capacity Building, Dissemination and Exploitation – Objective: To create and operationalise management, communication, Action capacity, dissemination and exploitation and long term sustainability plans and to ensure the timely and high quality achievement of the Action aim, objectives and tasks. Plans for all aspects of the Action management and WG2-4 implementation will be finalised by month 4. A Core Group (Co-Chairs, WG Leaders, activity coordinators) reporting to the Management Committee and responsible for the daily progress of the Action will be established.

The Action is transnational and functions in an inter-disciplinary fashion. A primary and long-term objective is to build research capacity and collaboration across all COST Countries and specifically target ITCs and ECIs. The Action will provide leadership roles to ECIs, building capacity for the future. It will systematically extend to Near Neighbour Countries (NNCs) and International Partner Countries (IPCs).

Training Schools and STSMs will be focused on

A Knowledge Transfer Platform (KTP) of policy makers, policy networks, SMEs and organisations is in place. A four-phase dissemination plan will be implemented. The Action will implement a sustainability plan and in this context define and resource a future research strategy, including a Pan-European plan to progress an application to the European Strategy Forum of Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) to recognise “Physical Activity Behaviours and Health” as a European Research Infrastructure.
